"We ripple on into others, just like a stone puts its ripples into a pond" ~ Irvin D. Yalom
Therapeutic groups can be a dynamic vehicle to build self-awareness, learn better communication skills, and open ourselves to greater compassion and connection. Members in the group have the opportunity to grow through experiencing themselves as an integral participant in others' growth. It is a great way to touch our shared imperfect humanity, and remember our worthiness.
I have had the good fortune of leading healing arts groups for children at DrawBridge and leading Artist's Way groups for adults reclaiming their creative selves. I also facilitated mindfulness classes for children at Golden Oak Elementary and an LGBTQ support group at the Women's Resource Center in San Francisco. In addition, I have participated in some exceptional groups oriented around creative writing, ritual, and deep listening. In all my experiences as a facilitator and a participant, I have been impressed with the power, unity, and community that can be built through group therapy.
I offer therapeutic groups for people who want to make peace with their past, and for women who are not having children. Please contact me with interest.
