"Every small positive change we make in ourselves repays us in confidence in the future. " ~ Alice Walker

We are imperfect travelers in this life together, facing challenges, growing, and moving forward. Being able to honestly share your story, and be accepted is a doorway to healing.

I blend somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and behavioral-oriented techniques to help you
  • gain confidence in your ability to respond to life with ease
  • nurture satisfying relationships with yourself and others
  • transform patterns that no longer serve you
  • build a foundation of self-understanding and compassion

"If I didn't define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people's fantasies for me and eaten alive." ~Audre Lorde

I am interested in you as a whole person - embedded in family, community, and the broader society. When you grow, this benefits those around you. Imagine a society where everyone was more understanding of themselves and others.

Somatic psychotherapy holds your bodily experience in mind.  Our early life, before we acquire the capacity for explicit memories, has a huge impact on us. Somatic psychotherapy is particularly useful in working with this unconscious aspect of our experience, and also working through trauma and the accompanying symptoms such as anxiety, digestive issues, chronic muscle tension, or chronic pain.

Therapy can help you re-learn how to be yourself in a whole-hearted way. While the process may not always be easy, I will be there to support you. You can expect compassion and creative solutions. You can also expect me to laugh and cry with you.

I work with adults of all ages, genders, races, cultures, and sexual orientations, and especially enjoy working with our LGBTQ+ community.
